Our Regional Community is stronger when it maintains a consistently growing level of collaboration and cooperation – within neighborhoods, faiths, businesses, non-profits, and governments. One of the Richmond Region’s greatest challenges is its difficulty with collaboration, SO, in an effort to foster the power of collaboration in Richmond, TWS has developed the Community Garden Initiative and the Richmond Community Garden Collective (RCGC), a constantly increasing number of individuals, groups, neighborhoods, communities, organizations, institutions and governments committing to collaborate in a growing collection of community gardens throughout the Richmond Region and Richmonds of the World, in an effort to benefit from the many social, educational, economic, environmental, and community-building opportunities offered by community gardens.
